Colonel Mustard: Radial-Engined Air Ace

Colonel Mustard is a mustard-yellow dieselpunk chibi fighter with a big exposed radial engine, a Union Jack on the tail, a bomb slung underneath and absolutely no business getting off the ground.

The engine is the star: finned cylinders, red ignition leads, twin exhaust stubs and a two-bladed wooden propeller with a bright red spinner, all dripping oil onto the apron the way radials love to. The name is scrawled along the fuselage in hot-rod script, with the registration KFC-0898 tucked under the tail.

It is this bright because it was drawn with our living room in mind: if it is going on the wall, it has to match the decor. That is what you get for living with an interior designer.
