Sopwith-Style RAF Biplane Fighter
A hand-drawn dieselpunk chibi illustration of a First World War style RAF biplane fighter in olive drab: wood, wire, canvas and a very great deal of optimism. Call it a Sopwith, call it a Tiger Moth with ambitions. It was a joy to draw either way.
Look closely and the period detail is all there. The brass ring on the wing strut is a swinging-pendulum airspeed indicator; the further back it swung, the faster you were going. Up top sits a synchronised machine gun, timed to fire between the blades of the two-bladed wooden propeller. Get that timing wrong and you were due a rather bumpy landing.
Finished with the RAF roundel, a fin flash and white fuselage bands, and drawn entirely by hand with no AI anywhere near it.
