Chibi Zero: Imperial Japanese Navy Fighter

A hand-drawn dieselpunk chibi illustration of the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, the Imperial Japanese Navy's carrier fighter, in two-tone grey with the red hinomaru, twin yellow tail stripes and a bomb tucked under the belly.

Fresh from the flight deck and ready to do business. The A1 tail code places it with a carrier air group, and the katakana on the fuselage reads "chibi", which seemed only fair. Underneath there is a tangle of brightly coloured wiring, a coiled spring on the tail strut and red-hubbed wheels for a bit of swagger.

A joy to draw, with plenty of detail, and one that would look rather good on a wall. Just saying.
